I have not heard Foley on Smackdown but I believe he is doing pretty well. Apparently he will let his contract run out after Summerslam. The reason? Apparently Vince is destroying him on the mike from backstage.
By all accounts this is regular behaviour for Mr McMahon on his commentators. But Foley is taking it quite hard.
My question is what do you all think about this? Would Foley leave WWE? Is TNA an option?
I think he would consider it. He would improve the TNA announce desk no end. He was good on the mic as a wrestler that i can believe he would make an excellent color guy.
Discuss here.

For some reason VInce thinks he is the god of commentators when we all know that he is as qualified to commentate as my left nut is to gaming, he has constantly critiscised WWE's top commentators and ended up nearly destroying the careers of guys such as good old JR and Mike Foley, is it right?...No, can foley find a better place...Yes and the wwe needs to keep him on staff or get JBL back otherwise they are going to be losing more then ratings IMO

I don't understand why people think reupping with the WWE will change the way things were before a dispute or contract was settled. When you leave, they don't care, then when they see a part of their product suffering because you actually made people comfortable in that spot, they'll do whatever it takes to get you back. Then when they get you back, they dun all over you again because you're now locked up for more time due to a new contract and you'll have do what they say for the time being until you get disgruntled again.
I just don't see why guys go to the WWE in the first place, other than for money. By now, most guys should know that you're not going to have a healthy career there. You're not going to become a star. CM Punk is the exception because he came from the indy circuit and ROH where there isn't much exposure. Anyone else that comes from TNA or any other known federation will get jerked around and eventually fired. We all know the stories about how WWE pushes their homegrown talent and craps on everyone else.
The WWE is just a place to get some exposure and fatten the pockets, so when they release you, you can ask for a higher appearance fee when you hit the indy's again. That's all it's good for.
Mick should know the drill by now. All the politics and other crap that goes on. But I think he's in the state of mind that he doesn't want to be a full time wrestler anymore, but he wants to be around it and ocassionally get physically involved to where it won't hurt him long term. That's the only reason why he tolerated the mess from Vince until he got fed up with it. He simply wanted to be in the locker room and backstage for the atmosphere, but Vince just ruined it for him with being mouthy.
Same goes for JR and his multiple firings and contract lapses. There isn't any other place to go and he's not done commentating yet. So he just tolerates the crap that goes on and has some bit of leverage when he leaves for negotiations when the WWE say they want to go into another direction then realize that they feel more comfortable listening to him during matches. It's all about respect and the WWE doesn't have any for anyone, but know that certain people have their spots in the company and it shouldn't be toyed with.
Sometimes I feel the WWE is run like a dollar store.
